Impress Design Workshop- Penrith, various dates

We are making our facilities available to help Western Sydney students be the best. This free Design Enrichment workshop is suited to senior secondary TAS and Art students working on major projects for their HSC.

Our Industrial Design academics will introduce the students to our MakerSpace, open to the public for free access Thursdays 1-6pm. There will be demonstrations of laser cutting, 3D printing, digital wire benders and more. Our staff will show you how we can help students enhance their projects and how they can receive an early university offer to our Bachelor of Industrial Design or Bachelor of Design and Technology.

Western Sydney U Day provides the opportunity for senior high school students to experience a day on a Western Sydney University campus. The event will allow high school students to speak with current University students and academic staff, experience the range of courses available at Western Sydney University through interactive workshops and presentations, learn about scholarships, The Academy, pathway programs and further opportunities to pursue their aspirations.

Science and Engineering Challenge - Penrith, June

Tuesday 27th or Wednesday 28th June Kingswood

The School hosts the annual Science & Engineering challenge at Western Sydney University, Kingswood Campus. This Challenge sees Year 10 students from local high schools participating in science and engineering activities. Find out more about S&EC here.

Engineering Frontiers - Penrith

Engineering Frontiers is an exciting and educational two-day program that introduces secondary students to Engineering and its applications.

Students will be exposed to top engineers who have a passion for what they do as well as the opportunity to experience life as a university studying studying engineering. The program includes lectures on the latest developments in engineering (including civil, mechanical, electrical, robotics, mechatronics, water and environmental), demonstrations and hands on workshops in our laboratories.

Widevision Innovation Exhibition - Parramatta, December

An annual technology and innovation exhibition to showcase the best works of our Honours and final year students from across the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics. Penrith Observatory

Offers public viewing nights, school excursions and group events designed to enhance exposure to astronomy, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. A visit to Western Sydney University Observatory at Penrith can include listening to fascinating lectures on various aspects of astronomy, 3D astronomy experience, and viewing of the night sky through computerised telescopes.
