The School of Business, located in the heart of Parramatta CBD (with campuses in Campbelltown & Bankstown) knows how valuable it is for high school students, and their teachers, to connect with Universities in order to build awareness and preparedness for university.
Our School of Business holds a number of great activities through the year aimed at connecting with students and educators throughout Sydney and Greater Western Sydney. From our annual High School Principal & Leader breakfast to our Year 10 business innovation competition, The Blueprint, as well as regular Professional Development sessions for teachers. The Annual Breakfast also provides you with the opportunity to network with colleagues from other high schools in the region. Our aim is to help students see that their participation in higher education is not only achievable, but is a setting in which they can thrive.

Principal and School Leader Breakfast
The School of Business’ annual High School Principal and School Leader Breakfast is an opportunity for us to invite you to our state of the art campus in Parramatta CBD.
As well as providing an opportunity for us to share some school updates with high school leaders, the breakfast also serves to launch our annual High School Business Idea Competition for Year 10, The Blueprint. The Annual Breakfast also provides you with the opportunity to network with colleagues from other high schools in the region.
The Blueprint Business Idea Competition
The Blueprint Business Idea Competition is a Western Sydney University initiative to engage with high school students from Sydney and Greater Western Sydney Region. The competition is designed to help students pursue new business ideas. It also empowers students through business education and enrichment opportunities and provides a first-hand experience in entrepreneurship. The aim of the business idea is to solve a customer problem and students are required to conceptualise, build and market a business. The competition involves the creation, submission and presentation of original content that highlights the business idea.


















Who: Teams consisting of two to five Year 10 students
Prizes:
1st Team Prize: $3000 JB Hi-Fi gift card
2nd Team Prize: $2000 JB Hi-Fi gift card
3rd Team Prize: $1000 JB Hi-Fi gift card

BIZFLUENCERS is an exciting new school holiday workshop program offered by the School of Business at Western Sydney University, targeted at high school students in Years 9 – 10. The program aims to connect aspiring Business Influencers ('Bizfluencers') with business leaders, researchers and practitioners in the 1PSQ Business Lab to explore the future of business.
BIZFLUENCERS will consist of a range of half-day workshops which can be taken on their own individually, or combined together, and will be offered in the September/October school holidays 2023.
