Western Sydney University is a multi-site university with campuses spread across Greater Western Sydney. Our study abroad program runs across five Sydney-based campuses located in a range of geographically and culturally-diverse regions of the city. Our campuses are well-connected by free shuttles to local transportation hubs.
Parramatta and Parramatta City campuses have two sites, a heritage-listed parkland style campus in Rydalmere on the banks of the Parramatta River and city-based urban campus in the centre of Parramatta's lifestyle and business district. Parramatta is the vibrant new urban 'heart' of Sydney, with Australia's most multicultural community population, located about 35 minutes by train from Sydney's downtown.
Penrith campus is located on the bushland western edge of the Sydney metropolitan area, at the foot of the Blue Mountains near the Nepean River. The 158-hectare vibrant campus has two sites in the suburbs of Kingswood and Werrington, located about 75 minutes by train from Sydney's downtown.
Bankstown campus is located on 22 hectares in the southwestern suburb of Milperra. It’s a friendly environment that intersperses spacious University buildings amongst gardens landscaped with beautiful Australian native plants, located about 35 minutes by train from Sydney's downtown.
Liverpool City campus is our brand new, state-of-the-art city-based urban campus in southwestern Sydney. Its shopping, transport options, cafes and restaurants are abundant and student facilities both brand-new and cutting edge.
Campbelltown campus is located on a beautiful semi-rural campus at the southwestern edge of Sydney in the suburb of Macarthur. Campbelltown has easy access to the iconic and heritage Southern Highlands and is the closest campus to Australia's national capital, Canberra. It is located about 60 minutes by train from Sydney's downtown.
Hawkesbury campus, the largest and most 'farmland' style campus of the University, is located on 1,300 hectares in northwestern Sydney near the outer Sydney suburb of Richmond, adjacent to the Blue Mountains and located about 80 minutes by train from Sydney's downtown.
