Our Master of Forensic Science program is designed for those looking for advanced knowledge across a range of forensic disciplines including crime scene investigation, fingerprint detection and identification, forensic chemistry, forensic biology, forensic toxicology, illicit drug analysis, and forensic medicine. This course offers a range of specialised study areas including toxicology, blood distribution and spatter and pharmaceutical analysis, allowing you to develop broader and more comprehensive skill sets in the field.
Throughout the course, you will complete two compulsory research projects ensuring that upon graduation you can confidently plan and execute forensic research, based off in depth analysis and investigation. As a Forensic Scientist you'll provide impartial scientific evidence for use in courts of law to support the prosecution or defence in criminal and civil investigations. You'll be primarily concerned with searching for and examining contact trace material associated with crimes.
Research Scientists plan and carry out experiments, analyse results and data, present your findings in scientific journals, carry out fieldwork, develop new products or apply new discoveries, test materials and teach and lecture.

*The tuition fees quoted above are the fees for the normal full-time study load of the course (80 credit points) per annum. International students will be subject to a variable fee regime; i.e. enrolled students will be required to pay fees during their course based on the approved fee for each calendar year.
