You do not need to attend a campus, do any additional practical work, and there are no exams – it's the perfect qualification to complement your experience as you take the next steps to advance in your career. HECS-HELP is also available to eligible students.

Frequently Asked Questions

An Undergraduate Certificate is a 100% Online Short Course facilitated via intensive teaching sessions to suit your lifestyle. You do not need to attend a campus or do any practical work. There are no exams as the assessments are all focused on real-world situations, so they will be case studies, quizzes relating to scenarios, presentations. 

The courses provide students four unit credits, each unit delivered over a six-week block, with a two-week break in between sessions. These online short courses can be completed in as little as 30 weeks.

Upon completion of an Online Short Course you could be eligible to move straight into a Diploma with The College at Western Sydney University.

Your awarded Undergraduate Certificate qualification can contribute up to 50 per cent to a relevant Diploma program, which could even provide a further pathway to an associated and accredited undergraduate degree if that's something you'd like to pursue.

 

To be eligible to apply to study an Undergraduate Certificate, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia or a holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa;

AND

  • be aged at least 17 years old at course commencement.

The Undergraduate Certificates are open access courses. You do not need to have any degrees or experience before you start studying.

Yes. Once you complete your course, you will apply to graduate and can attend a graduation ceremony if you wish. Your certificate will say that you graduated from Western Sydney University.
