If you’ve experienced long-term educational disadvantage, you might qualify for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS).
You just need to show that your performance during years 11 or 12 (or equivalent) was seriously affected by circumstances beyond your control. If you qualify, you receive five bonus points. You can add these points to your ATAR (or equivalent) and increase your selection ranking.

When to apply
Applications close 30 November 2017. If you apply by this date, your eligibility letter will arrive in time for you to change your preferences for December Round 2.
Late applications for the UAC January Round 1 close on 3 January 2018. It’s the last day to submit your application if you want to guarantee inclusion in this round.

What happens if you qualify for more than one Bonus Points scheme?
If you qualify for Subject Bonus Points, Regional Bonus Points, the Elite Athletes or Performers Scheme and the Educational Access Scheme, the maximum number of bonus points you can receive is 10.
