This program provides learners with a contemporary, research-informed understanding of disability and inclusive professional practice. Focusing on access, participation, and equity across health, education, and workplace settings, the program examines key theories and models of disability and their practical application in real-world contexts.
Learners will develop skills in assessment, collaboration, partnership, and leadership, while critically reflecting on their professional roles and working relationships to support inclusive, ethical, and effective practice for individuals with disability.
This microcredential was developed with the support of the Australian Government's Microcredentials Pilot in Higher Education.

To be eligible for admission into the Disability Access & Participation in Health, Education and Work, previous experience with tertiary-level study or training is recommended to help students manage the academic expectations and workload of the course.

Successful completion of this microcredential provides a pathway into postgraduate study, with learners eligible to apply for 20 credit points towards the Graduate Diploma in Health Sciences and the Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Education, subject to meeting admission requirements. Credit is applied to the electives Disability in Context and Effective Working Relationships. Alternatively, learners may seek entry into other Health Science qualifications where one or both subjects may be recognised for credit.
