What to do before you start

Take care of admin

If you haven’t already, activate your WesternAccount, and complete your enrolment steps. 

Choose which subjects you’ll study in your first term. 

Get your student ID card sorted before classes start – use it for discounts on public transport and to access the library, printing and photocopying. 

Select your preferred class times. 

Get class-ready

It’s your official line of communication with the University. 

Ultra is your online learning platform. You’ll access class materials, subject outlines and your textbook list (tip – they usually appear the week before classes start).  

Borrow or buy your textbooks and some other equipment and merchandise, 

Learn how to get to campus walking, driving, or using public transport.
