Course Design

Completion of welding apprenticeship, or equivalent welding qualification.

Course Structure
This 35-hour microcredential includes:
25-hour face-to-face learning sessions at BOC Minto Technology Centre with:
10 hours face to face knowledge-based learning sessions including a 2 hour lab tour at the Advanced Manufacturing Precinct, Kingswood campus, Western Sydney University, via virtual reality.
15 hours face to face hands-on skills development sessions.
10-hour online self-learning and completion tasks using Open Learning platform.
5 hours each day at BOC’s Minto Technology Centre, Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm, including 3 hours of practical.
