What’s your passion? Do you excel at English literature? Are you a mental mathematician? An advocate for social justice? A designer extraordinaire? Do you breathe foreign languages?
It’s important to acknowledge and play to your strengths because, ultimately, your strengths will determine your future. This is the premise behind HSC True Reward - a program that recognises the strengths of each individual.
Our unique program makes an early offer into a University degree based on corresponding HSC subject band outcomes, not the ATAR. Why? Because at Western, we recognise that too often, the ATAR system overlooks natural strengths and talent.
Applications are now closed for 2018. Applications for the 2019 HSC True Reward program will open soon. If you are a 2019 HSC student, we encourage you to bookmark this page and check back early 2019.

What is HSC True Reward?
HSC True Reward is Western’s early offer program for students finishing Year 12 in 2018. The program offers you a place at Western before you receive your ATAR, on the basis of your HSC subject results.
How is it different?
HSC True Reward is based on your HSC subject results, not your ATAR.
Western is the only university in NSW to offer a program with the chance to
apply for an early offer based on your HSC. At Western, we recognise that you
are much more than your ATAR. True Reward focuses on the scores that reflect
your strong points.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to 2018 NSW HSC students.
What are the requirements?
Depending on the undergraduate degree, you need to meet a specified Band outcome in nominated subjects. Use our search tool on this page to find out by course or subject what Band outcomes are required.
Can I apply if I’m an international student?
Unfortunately only domestic HSC students are eligible for this program.
What is the correlation between these university courses and HSC subjects?
We determine the HSC subjects that match the university course based on the performance of previous students. For each course, we look at past students who did well and what HSC subjects they studied – as well as their band outcome.
Is it open to postgraduate courses?
As the HSC True Reward program is designed for 2018 NSW HSC Students, the program is only open to Western Sydney University undergraduate courses or pathway courses offered through The College.
When do applications open? When do they close?

Will my offer expire?
HSC True Reward early offers will have an effective (and enforced) expiry date of 21 December 2018, 5pm. To ensure your offer does not expire, you need to commence your enrolment and complete stage three by this date.
