Ms Katie Page and Harvey Norman

Ms Katie Page and Harvey Norman are longstanding supporters of Western Sydney University. Given the establishment of the flagship Harvey Norman store in Auburn, they also maintain an enduring connection to the Auburn area. The Harvey Norman Young Women’s Leadership Academy Scholarships are born from a desire to support the Auburn community. The scholarships have been established to empower the young women of Auburn Girls High School to develop their sense of agency and leadership capacity whilst contributing to their successful educational, career and life outcomes. The program is to be funded by a philanthropic donation from Harvey Norman via Western Sydney University, at no cost to the NSW Department of Education or Auburn Girls High School.

Application and Selection Process

Applicants must provide a statement supporting their application indicating how they believe receiving the scholarship will assist them with their studies and future careers. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, ability to meet the criteria, and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.

Continuing Eligibility Criteria

  • Recipients must remain enrolled at Western.
  • Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0
  • Scholarship recipients are encouraged to participate in the 'Page Fellows Mentoring Program'.
