New research grant

A small yellow and white boat floats in the clear blue water by the shore in Vanuatu. There are huts on the shoreline and trees on the hillside behind them.

Congratulations to ICS Senior Research Fellow Fiona Cameron who, with Professor Katarina Serrano from the University of the South Pacific, has recently been awarded a research grant from the European Union, Global Climate Change Initiative and the Vanuatu Government. The grant, to the value of €10,800, is for a project entitled 'Traditional knowledge, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, Vanuatu'. The project will involve the establishment of a national framework for the collection, access, use and storage of traditional knowledge for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
