The University recognises and celebrates International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT day) on 17th May.
IDAHOBIT Day is a day for showing support of people to live safely without fear of abuse or violence based on their sex, sexuality or gender expression. Students and staff join the University's Ally Network and Queer Collective members to participate in events across the campuses to show their support.
International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) is celebrated around the world annually on 17th May. It is an important day each year to celebrate the LGBTIQ community and their journey whilst also recognising the ongoing discrimination that still occurs and that the LGBTIQ community continues to battle against.
