Enacting bespoke models of care: Examining how young people support their friends through tough times

Date: Tuesday, 25 July 2023, 1:00PM
Location: Online

Join us on Tuesday, 25 July at 1pm (AEST) to hear from sociologist, Dr Benjamin Hanckel in the webinar Enacting bespoke models of care: Examining how young people support their friends through tough times.

Help-seeking activities are often framed in terms of the formalised services that lead young people into pathways of care. In this talk, Benjamin will be challenging us to look beyond these formal parameters to the different, informal methods that young people use to help each other through tough times.

Benjamin’s report draws on focus groups and surveys with a sample of young people from across two urban settings, and explores the different ways that ‘care’ is enacted between friends. We look forward to seeing you online!
