Our Approach

We deploy an ‘engaged research’ approach – pioneered by the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) at Western Sydney University (WSU) – to positively impact policy, practice, and young people themselves.  Building and engaging a community of practice supported by bespoke co-research tools, strong leadership and project management expertise ensures our research targets end-user needs and is positioned for maximum uptake.

Our research impact has been recognised at the institutional level and received the highest ratings in the Australian Research Council Engagement and Impact Assessment.

Our research impacts national and international policy and services through: tools that generate actionable evidence; new knowledge networks and practical initiatives that strengthen sector capacity for research; and effective digital campaigns that increase public awareness of technology’s role in promoting young people’s safety and wellbeing.
