Governance

Young and Resilient Research Centre is hosted by the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) and the Translational Health Research Institute (THRI). The Young and Resilient Research Centre is governed by the University’s policies and procedures, and reports directly to WSU’s Division of Research and Innovation.

Strategic and operational management of the Centre is provided by Young and Resilient’s Co-Directors and supported by the Centre Manager. Research Stream Co-Leaders guide the research agenda around each thematic focus and lead the development and design of new research projects.  ICS’ Executive and Research Committees also provide ongoing governance support to the Centre.

Young and Resilient undertakes rigorous research, conducted in accordance with ethical principles contained within the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2018) and the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007). All our research projects are subject to an internal ethics review by the WSU Human Ethics Committee.
