Thesis Title

Something in the Air

Research Project

The research project I am working on is investigating the impact of air pollution and physiology of the human body.  In particular we are researching how pollutants from industry and motor vehicles, including particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide has an immediate impact on an individual’s heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and respiration when passively exposed to pollutants in the environment (for example near a major road) as opposed to when the individual is located in an area of low pollution (such as a large park).
