IELTS Test

The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS™, is an international standardised test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English, and was established in 1989.

More than 10,000 organisations globally trust IELTS, so when you take the assessment you can be confident that it is recognised by educational institutions, employers, governments and professional bodies around the world.

There are two types of tests, Academic and General Training, with both made up of four parts:

  • Writing (60 minutes)
  • Reading (60 minutes)
  • Listening (30 minutes)
  • Speaking (11-14 minutes)

While we are unable to advise on which modules you should take, you can visit the Department of Home Affairs or IELTS before you apply.

Test Dates: Parramatta | Bankstown | Olympic Park
