Cutting-Edge Numerical Techniques for Assessing the Structural Integrity of Bridges

Project Summary

This project aims to develop an assessment tool for evaluating bridge structural integrity in the HRCC region. Phase 1 involves collecting data on bridge types, materials, and performance, creating a finite element model of a sample bridge, and analysing its static and dynamic properties. Phase 2 focuses on field visits, identifying priority bridges, and refining the model to assess additional bridges under varied loading scenarios. The project will provide insights into critical structural risks and enhance maintenance strategies, ensuring bridge safety and performance in line with HRCC requirements.
