Reference Group

The Schools Engagement Reference Group includes external representation from the spectrum of the school sector in Greater Western Sydney and is chaired by the senior Western Sydney University officer with primary responsibility for Engagement.  It meets twice a year and also provides advice and assistance out-of-session.

Terms of Reference

Responsibilities of the Schools Engagement Reference Group include:

  • Providing strategic advice and guidance to assist in implementation of the University's Schools Engagement Strategic Plans;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of annual Action Plans;
  • Acting as a forum for discussion of emerging issues, trends and developments affecting schools in Greater Western Sydney;
  • Facilitating the Western Sydney University/school sector relationships and partnerships, and promoting University/schools engagement; and
  • Monitoring progress in implementation of the Strategic and Action Plans, and participating in review of the plans.
