Position Overview
Research Assistant in projects involving programming, machine learning, and audio processing, with applications in sound source localization, identification, and classification of acoustic signals in UAVs.
Position Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the research team to design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for sound source localization and the identification/classification of acoustic signals from UAVs.
- Develop and integrate real-time audio processing algorithms aimed at detecting and monitoring particular acoustic signals.
- Contribute to the development of low-cost, low-power hardware systems for acoustic monitoring and biomonitoring applications, ensuring scalability and reliability in the field.
- Analyze large-scale acoustic data sets collected from edge devices to refine AI algorithms, enhance classification accuracy, and improve overall system performance.
- Present research findings in regular project meetings and contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and reports detailing project progress and outcomes.
