Description

Yong-Guan Zhu Professor Yong-Guan Zhu, Institute of Urban Environment Chinese Academy of Sciences, China will be in attendance at the Harnessing Rhizosphere workshop.

Saturday - Sunday 10-11th October 2015

The Grace Hotel, Sydney

This industry focused workshop aims to harness rhizosphere-soil-plant interactions to increase farm productivity and resilience of farming systems. Soil health, using a combination of efficient crop varieties that can harness the rhizosphere (areas of close proximity to plant roots) and microbial interactions can increase farm productivity by up to 50%. An increase in crop productivity of this scale is essential to supply the increasing demand for food in coming decades and maintain profitability of farming business.
