Climate Risk Ready

This course is designed for public sector employees interested in understanding how climate change may impact their organisation, and those with responsibility to manage those impacts.

This includes the assessment, treatment and monitoring of climate risks and learning how to embed these practices into existing management functions and enterprise risk management systems.

    The course comprises of ten, two-hour online workshops over a five-month period with an additional month provided to complete assessments.

    Students should also allow up to 8 hours of self-guided learning per week.
    Time to complete the course may vary depending on experience and support needs.

Entry Requirements

Students are required to be employed in the public sector.

To successfully complete this course, it is recommended students have access to a personal computer or laptop, and a personal internet connection.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

A USI is required by all Australian students undertaking nationally recognised training. If you do not have a USI, please visit the USI website.

  • AHCAGB518 Develop climate risk management strategies
  • PSPGEN133 Identify and treat risks
  • PSPGEN135 Manage risk

Assessments

You will be required to complete knowledge based and practical assessments, these may include:

  • Question and Answers
  • Written Reports
  • Presentations
  • Projects
  • Demonstration in the workplace or in a simulated workplace environment.

Students studying online, may be asked to submit videos as evidence of the application of practical skills.

Recognition of Prior Learning

You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT) provided you have supporting evidence of any prior education and work experience.

This can either reduce your study load or shorten the duration of your course.

Fees

$2,500 AUD (all inclusive).
