Dementia

Dementia is a term which describes a number of neurological conditions affecting the functioning of the brain, which can have a significant impact on thinking, memory and behaviour, and affects the way a person operates in their day to day life. Though there are more women with dementia than men, it is still the second leading cause of death in Australians, with the prevalence of dementia predicted to increase to more than 800,000 by 2058 [1].
