Western Sydney University has a broad suite of programs of study that sit under the broad banner of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences. This includes Sport and Exercise Sciences, Health and Physical Education, Sport Development, and Recreation Therapy. Our graduates are highly sought after and contribute to their respective fields with impact, and many graduates go on to be leaders in their fields.
Western’s research in Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences is rated as above world class (Excellence in Research for Australia 2018) and addresses complex sport and health questions that sit at the intersection of our sub-disciplinary areas. We work closely with a wide array of industry partners at national and international levels as well as community-based partners to develop evidence-based solutions in sport, health, medicine, education, social and public policy, and community development. Our research features a variety of methods and approaches, is translational into policy and practice, and is global in its reach.
