Biography

Dr Lovell is an Associate Professor in Sport & Exercise Science at Western Sydney University.  Ric has co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles and book-chapters in sports physiology and performance science, primarily in team sports. His predominant research focus investigates optimal preparation and athletic development strategies for soccer players, including injury prevention, talent identification and monitoring training and match loads. During this career, Ric has consulted for a number of English Premier League and Football League Clubs, and since his relocation to Australia has worked with sports organisations such as Football Australia, Australian Football League, GWS Giants, Penrith Panthers, Parramatta Eels, Football NSW, and Western Sydney Wanderers.
