Dolla Merrillees, Director
Dolla Merrillees is the Director Western Sydney Creative, Western Sydney University and was previously the Director and CEO of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, Sydney and the Associate Director, Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation. She is a member of the Sydney Review of Books Advisory Board, the Arts and Cultural Advisory Panel - Western Sydney Parklands Authority, and sits on the board of FORM Dance Projects and Varuna, the National Writers' House and the working group of Western Sydney Arts Alliance.
Margaret Hancock, Senior Curator, Western Sydney Creative
Margaret Hancock is Western Sydney Creative’s Senior Curator. Formerly the Curatorial Director of JamFactory in Adelaide, Margaret has over 20 years of visual arts, crafts and design writing, curatorial and cultural project management experience. She was a peer assessor for the Australia Council for the Arts (2016-2020) and Chair of the Regional Galleries Association of South Australia (2019-2020). She holds a Graduate Diploma in Art History, a Graduate Diploma in Arts and Cultural Management and a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Applied Design. In 2023, she received the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Award for Service Excellence.
Sally Tsoutas, University Photographer
Sally has pursued an active career in photojournalism since 1991 and has been capturing the life of Western Sydney University since 2005 as the university’s photographer. During this time her work has also been published widely in the media including the ABC, The Australian, and The Sydney Morning Herald. Sally is passionate about using her skills as a photographer for social impact projects and has been involved with social businesses like the Bread and Butter Project, Karrkad Kanjdi Trust and CRSA (Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia).
Emily Caws, Project Support Officer
Emily Caws is a dynamic Events and Communications professional, currently serving as a Project Support Officer with Western Sydney Creative. A 2018 graduate of the University of Technology with a Bachelor of Public Communication, Emily began her career as an Events and Communications Coordinator at ASIAL. Since 2019, she has further expanded her expertise through various roles at Western Sydney University, including positions in Human Resources, Work Health Safety, and Student Experience and Marketing.
