Liveability Labs: Key Qualitative and Quantitative Data and Indicators of Liveable Communities for a Virtual Digital Twin of Western Sydney
Project Summary
Virtual, spatial, digital twins are emerging as a powerful system of systems approach to understanding and providing guidance for policy and governance for energy, water, waste and transport systems as well as heat island and bushfire management. The approach is based on the collection of rich available and new data to provide a whole of systems approach for a city.
This project focuses on engaging researchers through the City Futures and Urban Transformations Research Centres at UNSW and WSU to develop a Living Lab framework, a Liveability Lab, to define key metrics for monitoring and evaluating the performance of city growth. It is envisaged such metrics will be implemented in a digital twin model.
