FEM based structural integrity assessment of bridges
Project Summary
A finite element model of the sample bridge will be developed using Western Sydney University's specialised software. This model will serve as a foundation for further analyses and simulations. To ensure accuracy, the numerical model will be validated against response measurements collected from the bridge, including strain, deflection, and acceleration data.
A sensitivity analysis will be conducted to assess the impact of input parameters that may not be readily available, such as estimated failure and yield strain, damping ratios, failure strength, and fracture properties.
