Haphazard cholesterol checks place Australians at risk of heart disease

A team of researchers, including THRI PhD student Farshid Hajati and his supervisors, Asoc. Prof. Federico Girosi and Dr Evan Atlantis, have discovered that one fifth of patients on medication to lower cholesterol are receiving too many, unnecessary tests, while half are not having their blood cholesterol levels sufficiently monitored.
