Little Multilingual Minds (LMM) Facilitator – Spanish

Irene comes from Spain. She holds two bachelor degrees in education with specialisations in early childhood and primary education and a master’s degree in intercultural communication from Spain. She has extensive experience teaching Spanish in Australia to children of all ages. She also teaches Spanish at Amistad Latina Community Language School. Irene has received professional development and training to deliver the LMM program and has been working as an LMM facilitator at our first partner organisation since July 2021.

Irene is creative, patient and passionate about her job and genuinely enjoys working with the kids. As an LMM facilitator Irene supports children’s Spanish extension through guided play and meaningful enriching activities, enabling an optimal language learning environment that extends to all areas of child development.

In conjunction with the LMM research team, Irene’s insight and skill has been incredibly impactful in the development of the LMM Spanish sessions for early education. This invaluable contribution has further created a basis for delivery in other languages that the LMM program offers.

Trinidad is a Chilean Primary school teacher with six years of dedicated teaching experience. Trinidad's journey has been marked by a deep love for education, a passion for language, and an unwavering commitment to her students' growth. Her two literature diplomas not only enrich her teaching but also ignite a love for language and storytelling in her students. Her educational content in Spanish within the LMM program is infused with her enthusiasm for language and culture, creating an environment of discovery and curiosity. As LMM facilitator Trinidad makes sure her students grasp and appreciate the power of both written and spoken communication. Trinidad strives to make every lesson motivating and dynamic following the LMM method. Through games, projects, and interactive activities, she seeks to spark interest and keep her students engaged in the learning process.


Nancy CarrascoNancy Carrasco

Little Multilingual Minds (LMM) Facilitator

Nancy comes from Chile and has an undergraduate degree in multimedia. Nancy has a range of experience across multiple domains that contribute to making her a well-rounded facilitator for LMM. Nancy is a NAATI certified interpreter and a community engagement manager, as well as also being a passionate yoga teacher. She has extensive experience in working in various multicultural services as a cultural project coordinator and has had the opportunity to design programs that aim to improve social skills and self-esteem. In addition, Nancy has been involved in the development and implementation of language and settlement plans to improve the care and well-being of children that are new to Australia. As an LMM facilitator, Nancy supports children’s Spanish extension education through guided play, musical activities and yoga to keep her students engaged in the learning process. Nancy has received professional development and training to deliver the LMM program and has been working as an LMM facilitator since July 2023.
