The Research Impact Competition (RIC) is a flagship event which aims to celebrate and showcase research excellence from across all WSU research themes. The Competition provides an opportunity for researchers to consider their research in terms of current and future impact, challenging researchers to effectively explain their projects to a non-specialist audience in 5-minutes.

The winner of the MARCS RIC heat will go forward to the prestigious WSU Research Impact Competition Final held in Research Week on 20 October 2020.
