Diabetes Tech and Talk: Poster Abstracts

The organising committee is inviting submissions for poster presentation proposals from clinicians, researchers and students for the forum. Research posters should highlight research in topics relevant to obesity and diabetes including the categories of basic science, clinical science, patient education and self-management, technology, peer support, professional education, psychological care, clinical care and case reports.

Please note that the person submitting the abstract must ensure the presenting author is available for the presentation of the poster during the forum poster session/s on Friday 18 May. Abstract titles should be a maximum of 50 words with no abbreviations. Abstract text should be a maximum of 250 words and no tables or figures should be inserted into the abstract title or text.


Submission Guidelines

Deadline for submission of abstracts: Friday, 18 April 2018 5.00pm

Authors will be informed of their submission outcome by the end of April.

Abstract preparation

  1. The person submitting the abstract must accept full responsibility for submission of the abstract and ensure the presenting author is available for the presentation of the poster, during the forum poster session/s on Friday 18 May.
  2. Abstract titles should be a maximum of 50 words with no abbreviations. Abstract text should be a maximum of 250 words and no tables or figures should be inserted into the abstract title or text.
  3. Abstracts should be intelligible to the non-specialist and, except case study submissions, should be presented in the order of:
    1. Aims (or Objectives)
    2. Methods
    3. Results (including statistical analysis where appropriate)
    4. Conclusions (or Summary)
  4. Abstracts can only be submitted via the Online abstract submission form (opens in a new window)
  5. Abstract posters should be placed on display by the end of the welcome coffee session from 09.00 – 10.00 Friday, 18 March 2018. Abstract posters should be attended by presenters at the designated poster presentation time given with your submission outcome.
  6. Abstracts addressing the topics of obesity and diabetes in the categories of basic science, clinical science, patient education and self-management, technology, peer support, professional education, psychological care, clinical care and case reports.
