Current Opportunities

Western Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Program fosters a supportive environment where Western Alumni can share their skills and knowledge with different generations of students and alumni.

Alumni mentors can provide networking, career advice, coaching and professional development opportunities through the platform.

Graduations

Graduation ceremonies are held in April, September and December every year. We are looking for volunteers to assist with tasks such as auditorium ushering and regalia return, as well as other activities to support graduating students on the day.

If you are intrested in becoming an Alumni Volunteer for upcoming Graduation ceremonies, we want to hear from you.

Launch Pad

Western Sydney University's Launch Pad is a one-stop shop business and innovation support program that provides facilities, assistance and resources for startup and high growth technology based businesses in Western Sydney.

Launch Pad works with businesses to assess their needs and connect them to the best source of assistance. Alumni volunteers can take part in this mission to drive innovation and job growth in Western Sydney.

Women in Stem Education (WiSE)

The WISE Program supports the career development of women studying in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) at Western. The team works closely with employers, professionals and industry partners to provide experiences, career development and employment opportunities promoting a diverse STEM workforce.

Alumni volunteers can participate in opportunities such as mentoring, hosting workplace visits, sponsoring experience grants and participating in networking events.

Lead, Engage, Aspire, Develop (LEAD)

The LEAD program provides the opportunity for student to develop skills outside of their studies that are essential in driving their career and leadership journey.

Every year the LEAD program kicks off with a leadership conference, featuring a day jam-packed with keynotes from industry leaders, interactive breakout sessions, networking events and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange. Alumni can get involved with the LEAD program in a variety of ways including in a workshop or conference capacity.
