First Year Experience Coordinators

Each student enrolled at The College has their own FYEC. You can find out who your FYEC is here.

The role of the First Year Experience Coordinator (FYEC) is to ensure you have a smooth transition into The College and to provide you with support throughout your time at The College.

FYECs provide advice to students on such things as:

  • What units to enrol in each term
  • How to get organised with your timetable
  • Academic adjustment
  • An appropriate pattern of study suited to your individual needs
  • Academic progress
  • Referral to Counselling/Welfare Services
  • Assist with any academic issues
  • What your rights are as a student i.e. special consideration, appeals etc.

Whether it be stress, academic advice, managing your workload, navigating systems/processes or academic adjustment your FYEC can help you in identifying the main issues and find solutions with specialised support if needed.
