High resolution magic angle spinning (HRMAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments are possible on one instrument in the BMRF. HRMAS is suitable for things like emulsions or gels and can help reduce broadening of signals present in standard solution state NMR spectra by spinning the sample at the ‘magic angle’.
