With respect for Aboriginal cultural protocol and out of recognition that its campuses occupy their traditional lands, Western Sydney University acknowledges the Darug, Dharawal, Gadigal, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri peoples and thanks them for their support of its work in their lands (Greater Western Sydney and beyond).
You can search for courses, events, people, and anything else.
6. Get ready for Welcome Week
Your orientation activities are your first step toward success at Western. Curious what Welcome Week is all about? Check out last year’s video to get a feel for the vibes.
There are two essential activities to attend during Welcome Week:
- The main event at Parramatta South where you can explore all aspects of university life all in one place – from our large range of support services to linking up with social connections
- Your School Welcome Session – you may be invited along to a Welcome Session by your School – it’s a great opportunity to meet your teachers and classmates before classes start. If you School is hosting a session, you’ll receive more details via email.
Getting to Parramatta South campus is easy with the Parramatta Light Rail now connecting the campus to Parramatta CBD and surrounding areas. You can also use our handy shuttle buses to get around campus and to connect with local public transport during Welcome Week.
Will you be driving to uni once you start? You may need to look into a parking permit for your home campus.
Your welcome session will outline a room location to head to. Each location includes the campus, building, floor and room number. For example, PS-EA.LG.27 decodes to mean Parramatta South campus in Building EA, on the Lower Ground Floor, in room 27.
There are plenty of activities you can get involved in at Welcome Week before classes start, which will help you get set to reach your ambition at Western.
