Associate Professor Joyce Siette is currently leading a program of research combining psychology, social psychiatry and public health to identify the social risks, causes and consequences of risk factors on dementia. Her research vision is to maximise the real-world value of research on reducing dementia risk, and to move us towards optimally effective digital interventions to support healthy lifestyles and quality of life in older adults.

Professor Chris Davis is the Director, Higher Degree Research, and studies information processing involved in human communication. His research is guided by three themes: multisensory processing, human processing of linguistic complexity and cross-language and developmental comparisons.
Professor Paola Escudero | Director of Research.
Professor Paola is research professor in Linguistics and Director of Research at The MARCS Institute. Her work focuses on speech and visual processing in diverse populations, including monolingual and multilingual infants, young children, and adults as well as zebra finches.

As leader of BabyLab, Professor Susan Hespos runs a research program on understanding the earliest evidence of cognitive capacities in infancy and what changes during development.
Professor Gregory Cohen | Director of ICNS.
Gregory Cohen is a Professor in Neuromorphic Systems-Algorithms and Director of the International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS). His interests include event-based vision sensors and algorithms, machine learning, spiking neural networks and biomedical signal analysis.

Associate Professor Mark Antoniou is an expert in bilingual language processing, and his research addresses the interaction between language experience and other cognitive systems, and understanding individual differences between learners.
Associate Professor Celia Harris.
Associate Professor Celia Harris is researching how we bring memories to mind, and what kinds of external cues or prompts can enhance our access to memories to improve cognitive and psychological wellbeing.
Professor Caroline Jones is a researcher within the Brain Sciences Program. Caroline’s research interests are in language development, language teaching and learning, language technology, and language issues in health, including early assessment and intervention and communication with elderly people.
Professor André van Schaik is a Research Professor of Bioelectronics & Neuroscience at the International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS). His research focuses on neuromorphic engineering and computational neuroscience.
Jorge Serrador is Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the MARCS Institute. He has a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology specialising in brain blood flow regulation and is an expert in vestibular function and the vestibular and cardiovascular system's interaction.
Associate Professor Manuel Varlet is a senior research lecturer in our Music Cognition and Action program. His research investigates the perceptual-motor processes underlying human performances and their changes throughout life, with expertise and pathologies, using behavioural, neuroimaging and brain stimulation methods.
