Education and training after school

People with disability have the same right to access education and training as people without disability. They also have the right to seek reasonable adjustments to enable them to participate. For more information about your rights in education settings, see the Disability Standards for Education page.

There are many different settings where people can participate in tertiary education and training. These include university, TAFE, other vocational training settings like private registered training organisations and community colleges, or through an apprenticeship or traineeship. Also of potential interest are two state government funded post-school programs that are specifically for young people with disability. Find out more about each option in this section.
