On Friday 9 June a delegation from Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) visited the School of Business and signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with our University. The visit by FUI follows on from our Dean's recent visit to them in Pakistan in early 2023.
Foundation University Islamabad, is a private university located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It has two campuses - Foundation University School of Health Sciences & Foundation University School of Science and Technology. FUI was established under a Federal Charter in October 2002 and has more than 6000 domestic students and a faculty strength of 400+. The University has been rated as category 'W4' (the highest rating category) by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
The delegation from FUI included Major General Nasir Dilawar Shah (Retd) – Rector, Brigadier Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor (Retd) - Pro-Rector/Director and Prof. Dr. Amir Gulzar – Registrar.
Before the official MOU signing with our Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Barney Glover, the delegation meet with colleagues from the School of Business, School of Engineering and the School of Psychology to discuss areas of future collaborations including; research (joint conferences, seminars, symposia, joint publications and other scholarly activities); staff and student mobility; academic pathways; and articulation. FUI are also interested in collaboration with the School of Humanities Communications & Arts, and the School of Nursing who will be liaising with FUI in the coming days.
