Founded in 1992, North South University is the first private university in Bangladesh and has four Schools: School of Business and Economics; School of Engineering and Physical Sciences; School of Humanities and Social Sciences; and School of Health and Life Sciences. It offers 23 undergraduate and 16 graduate programs: throughout the year in a tri-semester arrangement.
The new MoU was signed by our Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Barney Glover, and Professor Atiqul Islam Vice-Chancellor, NSU Vice-Chancellor.
The latest MOU has a 5-year term and aims to:
- Explore research collaboration amongst academics and researchers at Western Sydney University, School of Business, and North South University, School of Business and Economics, and researchers from other disciplines/schools;
- Initiate articulation agreements and joint curricula, student exchange, and short-term training;
- Initiate the capacity building of academic staff and students; and
- Discuss and agree on specific research topics/projects.
Many thanks to Dr Mamta Chowdhury, International Academic Lead for Bangladesh, for establishing such a strong relationship with North South University and helping to facilitate this MOU signing.
