Transition towards the circular economy
The present linear economy, in which people take, create, consume, and waste resources, is to be replaced by the circular economy. All systems in a circular economy are created to be regenerative, allowing resources to flow back into the cycle after each usage.
These days, the Circular economy (CE) has been widely adopted by different business sizes and types, including SMEs. It is believed that with their small and medium-sized structure, they are flexible in adapting technological and environmental changes in their operations, thus promoting the transition to a circular model. However, it also comes with restrictions on their way to adopting sustainable models, such as financial obstacles, human resources, and state policy.
In this webinar, we are exploring how the SMEs apply CE in their business and promote the circular production/operation processes. Main topics include:
- Innovation on CE practices
- The current state of CE practices around the world
- Practical experience shared by SMEs.
