Our mission is to be a ‘Beacon’ for positive change, to highlight and shine a light on where and how we can address current inequities experienced by so many young children and their families. We are committed to bringing together people with diverse expertise and experience, opening the way for innovative and new thinking in a work that centralises our mission, as captured in our two beacon goals:

The transformation of early childhood research and services from a prevailing focus on risk and adversity, to a focus on counteracting the impact of adversity with positive and beneficial childhood experiences; drawing on and building resilience, strength, and community.

The transformation of professional practice and service delivery from siloed models to connected and linked up service provision, and services that place children, families, and communities at the centre of all decision making.
