Before You Apply
  • Students undertaking an eligible mandatory placement can apply for CPP. An invitation to apply does not guarantee eligibility.
  • You do not need to wait for an invitation. If you believe your placement is eligible, you can apply through the CPP Student Portal.
  • You can apply before your placement dates are confirmed or after your placement has started. Applying early is recommended to avoid payment delays.
  • If your placement dates change, or your placement is cancelled or withdrawn, your CPP eligibility and payments may be updated accordingly.
  • Before applying, have your supporting documentation ready, particularly documents required to demonstrate your financial eligibility or support an Exceptional Circumstances application.
  • Ensure your supporting documents are current, complete and clearly show the information required, as missing or insufficient documentation may delay the assessment of your application.
How Your Application Is Assessed

  • Your enrolment, CSP status, eligible program and placement, and financial eligibility will be checked.
  • Assessment times may vary depending on application volumes and whether additional information or documents are required.
  • You can update your application through the CPP Student Portal after submission. Keep your information current, as changes may affect your eligibility or payments.
  • Incomplete applications cannot be assessed and may delay your CPP payment.
  • Exceptional Circumstances applications will be reviewed by the University and referred to the Department of Education for a final decision.
Your Application Outcome
  • Your application outcome will be Approved, Provisionally Approved or Denied.
  • Provisionally Approved means you meet the application requirements, but your eligible placement details are still being finalised.
  • Once your placement is confirmed in InPlace and has commenced, your eligibility and payment information will be updated in the CPP Student Portal.
  • You can view your application, placement and payment information through the CPP Student Portal.
