Payments
Eligible students will receive $338.60* per week during their 2026 placement. This payment has been benchmarked to the current single AUSTUDY allowance and will be adjusted in accordance with changes to that AUSTUDY rate on 1 January each year.
*Note: this amount applies to placements completed from 2026.

Payments will be made for the duration of the confirmed, eligible placement period, subject to the students continued eligibility and compliance with the conditions outlined below.

- Payments are made directly to the student's nominated bank account.
- Once an application is approved, students are required to provide their BSB and bank account number through the CPP Student Portal.
- Payments are processed weekly, subject to ongoing eligibility and University approval.
- The first payment is generally deposited into the nominated bank account following successful completion of the first week of placement.
- Payment information and status can be viewed through the student's CPP dashboard in the CPP Student Portal.
- Students should update their bank account details through the CPP Student Portal as soon as possible if their details change to avoid payment delays.
- Payments will continue for the student's eligible placement duration, up to the applicable CPP payment limit.
- Payments may be paused, adjusted or stopped if placement information or eligibility changes.
- If an expected payment does not arrive, students should submit a support request through the CPP Student Portal so the payment can be investigated.
The University may suspend or terminate payments where:
- The recipient withdraws or defers from their subject or placement.
- The recipient no longer meets eligibility requirements.
- The placement is no longer confirmed in InPlace.
- The recipient is suspended or excluded from the University for misconduct.
Where payments are stopped, the recipient will be notified in writing. In some cases, recipients may be required to repay funds already received if they were no longer eligible to receive them.
