Western Sydney University is committed to creating an inclusive, safe and respectful place of study and work and highly values the diversity of our students and staff. The University provides a range of supports for LGBTIQ students and staff ranging from support networks, services, facilities, policies and strategies.

Ally Network
The Ally Network is a group of students and staff across the University who are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful culture at the University for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) community members

Queer Collective
The University's Queer Collective is for students identifying as LGBTIQ. These student networks help provide peer support, resources and a safe space to our sexuality and gender diverse students, and those who are grappling with questions or issues relating to identifying as LGBTIQ.

Policy
Western Sydney University is committed to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning and working environment for LGBTIQ students and staff, that is free from discrimination, harassment and bullying. We have a variety of policies and guidelines that provide a framework for achieving an equitable environment.
Complaints Resolution Unit
Western Sydney University has a grievance officer who is trained in both LGBTQ+ related grievances, inclusion and awareness. Please contact Edith Taylor, Senior Case Manager – complaints@westernsydney.edu.au

Sexuality & Gender Diversity Strategy
Western Sydney University is one of the first Australian universities to introduce a long-term whole-of-university strategy on improvements for sexuality and gender diverse students, staff and community.
