Pride In Diversity membership
Western Sydney University is a current member of Pride In Diversity, an Australian not-for-profit organisation that works with Australian employers to promote LGBTQ workplace inclusion. We work with Pride in Diversity to further develop an inclusive work environment and to raise LGBTQ awareness and knowledge within our University community.
As a member of Pride in Diversity, WSU has the following member benefits:
- support from a dedicated Relationship Manager
- access to free monthly LGBTQ focussed online training sessions. This includes sessions for all staff on LGBTQ foundations, Transgender & Gender Diverse Awareness and specific sessions for HR staff
- customised training hours
- access to a library of LGBTQ related resources and research
- member roundtables and networking events. These events are organised by Pride in Diversity to facilitate discussion of LGBTQ inclusion from a local perspective and to support networking amongst member organisations who may have an interest in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
- access to “Foundations of LGBTQ Inclusion” e-learning module.
- discounted training through Pride in Diversity, Pride in Health + Wellbeing and Pride in Sport.
Training
Pride in Diversity provides free online monthly training sessions for staff of member organisations. All WSU staff can register for these training sessions. Details of the upcoming sessions can be found on the Equity and Diversity training page.
