Dr Namson Lau

Position

Conjoint Senior Lecturer, University of New South Wales

Biography

Dr. Lau completed his undergraduate training at the University of Newcastle, NSW, and his speciality training at Westmead and Royal Prince Hospitals, NSW. His PhD was awarded by the University of Sydney and explored the neuroendocrine regulation of appetite and weight regulation. Currently he leads clinical research projects into the in-patient management of diabetes and complex diabetic foot disease.

Underlying this research is a focus on developing novel and effective means of uncovering and ameliorating the interplay between diabetes, its complications and cardio-metabolic risk, especially for people living in South West Sydney.
