Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF)

What is SSAF?

In addition to tuition fees, all students are required to pay SSAF to support funding various services and amenities.

Other costs

There are a number of additional costs associated with studying at university.

Repeating subjects
If you are required to repeat a subject that you have already studied, you will need to pay for that subject again. The cost of the subject will be determined at the time of enrolment.
Textbooks and Equipment

Textbooks and equipment are often compulsory depending on your program.

Parking

Our campuses are restricted parking areas which use a paid parking system. All vehicles parked on a Western Sydney University campus must display a valid Western Sydney University parking permit on the lower, driver's side windscreen/dash.

Photocopying and printing
Additional program related costs

Some programs will have additional, compulsory costs such as First Aid Certificates, immunisations and Lab Packs. Check with your School for information about your particular program.

Online and Distance learning mode costs:

Online and Distance learning costs in addition to your program tuition fees may including but are not limited to:

  • Purchasing or renting an appropriate device
  • internet connection
  • electricity use

Student support is available for students experiencing disadvantage and are unable to undertake online or distance learning due to cost or other requirements including for special needs.

Hold and library fines

Holds can be applied for different reasons, including library fines for overdue books and non-payment of your SSAF.
