MESH Maths and Stats Help (M&SH)

Need some one-to-one guidance in your maths, stats or numeracy?

The MESH team runs drop-in maths and stats help sessions during the semester. WSU students from all programs are welcome.

We supports students from many first-year maths subjects as well as from subjects from other disciplines that assume a strong maths background.

This is a drop-in service, you don’t need to book an appointment, just join at any time. Bring your (non-assessment) questions or lecture/tutorial notes and say Hi to the tutor to start.

MESH tutors will be available on the indicated days. Times may change due unforeseen circumstances – look out for announcements in your vUWS subject site.

Online via Zoom

  • Week 2 to STUVAC inclusive (except intra-session break in Week 8).
  • Monday – Friday 1-2pm from Week 2. These hours will increase later in semester – look out for announcements in your subject vUWS site or Maths Start 0.

Face-to-face

  • Week 3 to Week 14 inclusive (except intra-session break in Week 8).
  • Kingswood library Thursday 1-3pm
  • Parramatta South library Wednesday 10-11am
  • Look out for any schedule changes in Maths Start 0.
I Don't Get It

Do you ever get halfway through a maths or stats related problem in the middle of the night and have a mental block about the next step? Wish you could ask someone about it before you forget where you up to?

Introducing I Don 't Get It an online maths and stats discussion forum. Post your maths or stats related problem (along with some details of your attempts) as a new thread in the discussion topic and a member of the MESH team or one of your fellow students can help with the next steps.
